Daniel has been working in the hospitality business for much of his adult life. He began by running a small coffee house in the late nineties and progressed through corporate Restaurants; spending most of the 2000s working in small, family run Fine Dining and Bistro style Restaurants until coming on board with Sandabs Seafood and Wine Bar in 2008.

Daniel took over as wine buyer for Sandabs in 2011 after many years of pulling corks, reading numerous books and being mentored by successful Sommeliers. Daniel’s passion for good wine began while working at Il Pescatore in Jack London Square. His taste for Olivet Lane Pinot Noir 2004 Vintage ignited an obsession and passion.

Daniel is constantly seeking out new treasures for the wine list where he blends the finest local wines in the Santa Cruz Mountain A.V.A. with the best boutique wineries from regions world renown. Being a Seafood house the focus is strong on Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc with well-selected choices of the very best Cabernets, Syrahs and lesser-known varietals. The wine list and vintages change frequently and more often than not you will see that some rare deals off the radar can be had.

Daniel encourages you to come in and share his passion for fine wine in a relaxed atmosphere. Corkage is $15.00 and Sandabs offers buy one, wave one corkage with a two-bottle maximum per visit.
